I've been through the ringer, health-wise. Had three serious surgeries back-to-back, lost tons of weight, my whole body was OUT OF WHACK! I lost hair in scary amounts... I was SO AFRAID I would never have my hair back. And, that's a BIG DEAL for a woman. A VERY VERY BIG DEAL! So, I took a look around the web and tried a few different products. This is the ONLY one that's touted all over the web that did anywhere near what it claimed it could do.
Expensive, YES... but what price can you put on your hair? I had a good job, so why not? I got a 6 months supply, all at once, for $140, hoping for the best. And, knowing, if it didn't work out, they have a great guarantee. (See the Sephren web site--not sure if that applies to orders here!)
LUCKY ME.... After 3 months, I COULD SEE A DIFFERENCE! FINALLY, my limp locks were back to covering my scalp, not being so embarrassing anymore. By the 6 month mark, it was nearly back to the old me. Not quite, but dang close... I was in shock! I had been hiding in my home and suddenly, I was dating again. A LOT! Maybe it was my hair, but probably it was the CONFIDENCE that I got back. Sure enough, 3 different guys were interested in me at one time. I'd never had that happen before. It was truly amazing. I'm not the type of girl who's ever felt especially pretty, so this was a super ego boost. However....
My health was still suffering and I eventually was 'laid off.' I hadn't missed more than my allowable sick days since I'd come back, but they knew I was still likely going to need another microsurgery--I'd been injured on-the-job, but still, they HATED knowing I'd be off for probably another month, post-op. Employers don't like that much.
It seemed cruel, but I did what I could to limp along financially-speaking and hope for the best. THANKFULLY FOR ME, Sephren wanted to reel me in. I was offered a HUGE DEAL. I'm talking, spectacular. I'd be able to get 18 months worth for a little over the normal cost for a YEAR'S SUPPLY! It was like an answer to my prayers.
Was it an unnecessary expenditure? A lot of people might think so, but a semi-bald chick with no job is really, really pathetic. And, I'd already been so ill. I just didn't want to be SICK -AND- HIDE AWAY FROM THE REST OF THE WORLD. It got my hair back to a level I was PLENTY happy with. Gone are the days of losing handfuls of hair in the shower, being afraid to brush my hair.... all that really horrible stuff that I went through.
This was nearly 3 years ago now. And since my supply ran out, they haven't offered me another deal. Even after I spent like $450 with them in 2 years time. It's realllly REALLY upset me, but I cannot say the product didn't get me through the worst of my hair nightmare.
The part that really sucks now, though, is that, come to find out, I'm permanently disabled, I can no longer afford Sephren... especially at REGULAR PRICE. :( Sephren, you aren't fooling anyone by acting like $140 is a special price for 6 bottles. It's been that price FOREVER!
However, I do thank them for getting my hair back to a point where a cheaper store-brand hair vitamin will do the trick. Without Sephren, I am not sure that would've happened. Ever. It was almost more scary than my health problems, and I know I sound like a jerk saying that. But honestly, what is a woman without her hair? Yes, some girls look awesome with really short or even a bald head. I AM NOT NOT NOT ONE OF THOSE GIRLS!
So, yes, I vouch for Sephren and would give them a BIG OL' FIVE STARS IF THEY WEREN'T SO EXPENSIVE!
And, after this BRUTALLY HONEST POSITIVE REVIEW, they should give me a deal. I know that if I buy 18 months worth, they can still make a profit, or else they wouldn't have offered me that deal before. SO WHY NOT OFFER IT TO ME AGAIN, DARN YOU Sephren, come on
My Advice To Ladies With Thinning Hair:
If you're at your wit's end with your hair, ladies, try this vitamin. Only the capsules. Sephren's vitamin is killer, but the goo is just GROSS. Also, get yourself some Nioxin Formula 4 Shampoo. It cleans your scalp of the stuff that blocks hair follicles AND has some of that thickening stuff that they use in hair coloring... only it's clear. The shampoo only, don't waste your money on the Nioxin conditioner! And, when you do use ANY conditioner, just use it on the ends of your hair, NEVER anywhere near the scalp. I promise, between these two products, you will get back to the YOU that you once knew and loved. Perfectly, 100% back to normal? Maybe not, but darn close!
Trust me, I've been to hell and back and spent A LOT of $$$ along the way... Good luck out there! Us 'skinny scalped' gals gotta stick together, right? ;)

The combination of washing my hair with Nioxin Cleanser 4 (For Fine Hair) and taking Sephren Capsules daily, used as directed, has worked wonders. Improvement was definitely noticeable within one month. My hairloss was reversed, and now, after six months, my hair has grown back and improved in thickness. Thank you Amazon.
